The Voudoo Carnival
That's the remaining half of John blanche's Mörderin. I decided to separate them from the Femmes Militant because both the art and models are stylistically quite different.
They're all undeniably John Blanche's, but if the Femmes Militant could be at home in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, these five belong in his Voodoo Forest.
This is even more strikingly visible in miniature form. The skirts of the two ladies don't match the trousers and stockings of the Femmes Militant, giving them a much broader profile. That's why I swapped the provided 25mm (Queen Voudoo) and 32mm (Grimhilde) bases for a 32mm and 40mm ones. Also, there are no cybernetics nor firearms on them, and though Grimhilde still wears high heels, neither of them has platforms.
Similarly, the teddy bears have nothing futuristic about them that would make them look as the property of the Femmes Militant.
To mirror the black&white of most of the art, I painted all of them in black and white clothes, keeping some hint of red here and there as a nod to Queen Voudoo's art.
Now, I leave you to enjoy them...

The Femmes Militant
Yes, when the Mörderin kickstarter by John Blanche was announced, I rushed to support it. The only kickstarter I ever supported, and I'm glad I did it!
They're such beautiful models, incredibly detailed and, with all the limitations of 32mm plastic, so close to the art.
In fact, they're such great display models that they'd have deserved painting skills way beyond mine. But there was no way I was going to commision their paint job. My models, my painting, no matter what!
I first tackled the 'grim future' figures, with all their beautiful cybernetics, firearms, needles, and, most importantly, John Blanche's signature combat platform and high heels!!!
I've replciated the colour palette from the art as close as I could, only avoiding the checkers on the Boarding Hussar the stripes on Nasty Piece of Work, as I knew I couldn't do them. Instead, I went for a yellow and red quartered pattern on both of them. When assembling Jägerin, I decided to use the stretch goal Busby Hat rather than the default witch hunter one.
Having said that, I leave you with the pictures of the single models and their art.
